Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience a lap of the most infamous 24 Hour race in history during one of its golden eras? Well, you can.

Your guide is none other than 1958 F1 World Champion Mike Hawthorn. Though it was two years before he would become the first British World Champion, Mike was a regular with the works Jaguar Sports Car team during their dominance of the Le Mans 24 Hours in the 1950s.

Fitted out with the fifties equivelant of the Go-Pro and microphones, Hawthorn pilots his D-Type Jaguar for a lap of the La Sarthe circuit a few days before the start of the 1956 Le Mans. He even encounters a pair of French cyclists when approaching the Mulsanne straight!
