A Grand Day Out: La Grande Auto Show 2019

 Akaroa, the Kiwi version of the French Riviera, played host on Sunday March 31st to some of the most desirable exotic and classic cars in Canterbury for the annual La Grande Auto Show.

Held on the greens of Akaroa’s Recreation Grounds, thousands of petrolheads turned up to get up close and personal from a wide variety of over 160 handpicked cars ranging from vintage and classic Fords, Alfas and Fiats, to the latest supercars from Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren.

The principal sponsor of this year’s event was Archibalds Luxury Car Dealership, so there was plenty of new and exclusive Jaguars, Porsches and Audis on display. Each car was handpicked for the event to ensure show goers could experience a broad variety of cars.

All the proceeds made at this year’s event went back into the community, with the Akaroa Health Hub, Akaroa Fire Brigade & Westpac Trust Helicopter all benefiting from the show.
