Description
The Vauxhall Velox – a very smart and interesting car indeed – one that lives on and continues to be desirable well beyond its life expectancy.
The Velox is a medium-sized six cylinder saloon.It was one of the first range of popular cars that came in metallic paint and two tone colour interior. The Vauxhall Velox at the time was a futuristic style statement – a car designed for major world markets, for the quite well off and whatever the neighbours thought, with sales over 350000 over a 5 year production run, the Velox was best remembered for having mirrored North American styling trends much more closely than other European models of the time.
The car we present here is an absolute SHOW CAR. It is arguably THE BEST EXAMPLE IN EXISTENCE.
Body, Paint, Interior, boot, engine bay, undercarriage – this car is PERFECT – there can be no better way to describe it and the detailing on this car is unbelievable. An absolute credit to its previous fastidious owner, who even went to the trouble of labeling all dash controls, and went to the extreme of making a note for drivers to be gentle with the gearshift due to the "crash" low gear...etc before sending the car to us.
It is an early 1957 Velox and therefore has the non synchro 1st gear and the early engine like the 52 to 56 models. It was only a very few late 57 models in NZ that were equiped with the all synchro box and engine of the first PA series.
Various receipts and history available. Factory tools, hydraulic jack, operating manual all come with car.
A ONE TIME OPPORTUNITY for someone to acquire an electrifying car and we are looking for someone who is able to care for this car and has the means to preserve the condition it is in.
Car drives and feels LIKE NEW. There is no imperfections of any sort.

Waimak Classic Cars accepts that the vehicle being sold must be of “acceptable quality” in terms of section 7 of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (the Act) having regard to “the nature of the goods”.
Waimak Classic Cars is not aware of any specific defects with the vehicle, however (a) such a vehicle being a classic vehicle may have mechanical breakdowns, electrical failures at inconvenient times and maintenance costs being part of and parcel of ownership of a classic car; (b) reliability is a combination of the particular nature of the classic vehicle, how it is being driven, how it has been maintained, and to a certain extent luck.
The Purchaser acknowledges that the vehicle is being sold as a classic car; that in terms of the Act and the nature of the goods, the vehicle, is an old car that may have faults, unlike a modern motor vehicle.
The Purchaser is encouraged to personally fully inspect the vehicle and/or to have the vehicle inspected, fully assessed and maintained by an experienced classic car mechanic.
The Purchaser acknowledges that they have read and fully understand this notification and the nature of a car which is many years old.
