Rover TC2000 Series 2 1971

Specifications

Description

The Rover 2000 is a saloon car produced from 1963 to 1977 in West Midlands, England. It was voted European car Of The Year in 1964, the very first winner of this title.

The first P6 used a 2.0 L engine designed specifically for the P6. Rover later developed a derivative of the engine by fitting twin SU carburettors and a re-designed top end, and marketed the revised specification vehicles as the 2000 TC.

The 2000 TC was launched in March 1966 for export markets in North America and continental Europe and was a revolutionary car in its day with its unique suspension built around revolutionary radial tires, which made the ride soft and smooth and cornering good.

And with power assisted brakes all round, it was, arguably, the best production car ever made at the time.
