Sold Rover P5B 1973

Rover P5B 1973

Whats interesting is that Rover publicly apologised when it revealed the P5 3500B – they apologised to those who though that the Rover P5 3ltr was the ultimate in smoothness¦they apologised because they now had to tell people to try their new 3500 ltr automatic, which set new standards.

It was all put down to the new V8 engine, which gave more power that flowed with astonishing smoothness. And yet,  this engine was lighter than its predecessor. It was unrivaled at the time because of its aluminium construction.

Because it was lighter, they were able to improve its weight distribution, which gave safer road holding and better cornering power.

Rover improved lighting with built in fog lamps and redesigned the interior to give more comfort and convenience.

  • Three actual owners from new – one for 15 years +
  • Good clean body & paint
  • Leather Upholstery, factory carpets and door cards all in very nice condition.
  • Mechanically sound and drives well
  • Servicing recent and all up to date
  • Rostyle wheels

You should own one of these cars, if like us, you are rather taken with these regal old Rovers. An ever so popular classic car to own, that is in our opinion, still cheap to buy in New Zealand. They are becoming rare in this condition and prices will undoubtedly rise for good quality classics like this.

Will be sold WOF'd and Registered if sold in New Zealand.

Transport / Shipping can be organised on Buyer's Behalf at Buyer's Cost.
