Morris Mini 850 Mark 1 1967

Specifications

Description

Just occasionally, a really superb example of a marque appears for sale and this is it.

The Mini was marketed under BMC's two main brand names, Austin and Morris until 1969, when it became a marque in its own right. The Morris version was known to all as the Mini or Mini-Minor. The word minor is Latin for "lesser"; so an abbreviation of the Latin word for "least"–minimus–was used for the new even smaller car. The Mini etched its place into popular culture in the 1960s with well-publicised purchases by film and music stars

This car is in stunning condition having been very well cared for all its life. It would be hard to see or find another example like it. It has done 37918 miles from new and has had four long term owners. The first owner, who owned for five years transferred to his wife who owned for the next 25 years. The third owner owned for over 9 years and restored the car mechanically. The fourth owner, who owned for over 5 years, stripped the car down, repainted, fitted new rubber and five brand new tires. This car has been maintained regardless of cost and there is no rust anywhere in the car – whatsoever.

Paintwork is still as new. All the rubbers, trims, external trim are new or like new.

The interior is entirely original and in Very Good condition throughout. Carpet showing its age a bit but perfectly acceptable. The mechanics are perfect, it doesn't use oil, water or drip any fluids. The tires and battery are still as new.

This low mileage classic car is being presented as if its hardly been used. Its hard to fault and drives incredibly well.

PRICE FIRM and reflects the car's level of presentation. NOTE: This is not your average Mini. Finding this car a good home is more important to me than selling the car. It would appeal to someone who wants the best and I will only sell it to a good home. Its too good not to.

Registration is currently on hold. Car will be sold with a fresh 6 month WOF and 12 month registration.
