An Excellent, Example of a Morris Eight Series One!
The Morris Eight is a small car which was produced by Morris Motors from 1935 to 1948. It was inspired by the sales popularity of the similarly shaped Ford Model Y. The success of the car enabled Morris to regain its position as Britain's largest motor manufacturer.
The Series One was powered by a Morris UB series 918 cc four-cylinder side valve engine with three bearing crankshaft and single SU Carburettor with maximum power of 23.5 bhp.The gearbox was a three-speed unit with synchromesh on the top two speeds and Lockheed hydraulic brakes were fitted.
In September 1934 the bare chassis was offered for GBP95. For buyers of complete cars prices ranged from GBP118 for the basic two-seat tourer to GBP142 for the four door saloon with "sunshine" roof and leather seats.
What we have here is a great overall example of this model in excellent driving condition. A Great vintage car with low upkeep costs.

Engine was reconditioned in January 2005 at 14250 miles. Tires 500/525 – 16 fitted. Various History and relevant information available.
Original Car Jack, Tools, Spare Tire and Manual available with car.

Waimak Classic Cars accepts that the vehicle being sold must be of “acceptable quality” in terms of section 7 of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (the Act) having regard to “the nature of the goods”.
Waimak Classic Cars is not aware of any specific defects with the vehicle, however (a) such a vehicle being a classic vehicle may have mechanical breakdowns, electrical failures at inconvenient times and maintenance costs being part of and parcel of ownership of a classic car; (b) reliability is a combination of the particular nature of the classic vehicle, how it is being driven, how it has been maintained, and to a certain extent luck.
The Purchaser acknowledges that the vehicle is being sold as a classic car; that in terms of the Act and the nature of the goods, the vehicle, is an old car that may have faults, unlike a modern motor vehicle.
The Purchaser is encouraged to personally fully inspect the vehicle and/or to have the vehicle inspected, fully assessed and maintained by an experienced classic car mechanic.
The Purchaser acknowledges that they have read and fully understand this notification and the nature of a car which is many years old.
