MG VA Tourer 1937

Specifications

Description

One can speak highly in praise of the 1 1/2 litre MG.

It was well abreast of the times in general specification and planning; was possessed of particularly attractive bodywork and had a performance, which outstripped many other 1 1/2- litre cars.

Withal, it does it so quietly and smoothly, that one can be misled into thinking a six cylinder power unit (instead of the four cylinder it is) of a larger capacity than 1 1/2 litres is tucked away beneath the bonnet.

This is a car of infinite charm and one with a wide appeal, for while it was designed as a normal open tourer, it handles, cruises and rides generally in a way which places it favourably in the eyes of the sports car enthusiast.

Performance in the terms of maximum speed has always been an influential factor where MG car owners are concerned and with the new model, there was no disappointment in this direction.

Road holding is fully in keeping with the characteristics of the car. Shock absorbing is effected by means of a Luvak system with a finger – tip control whereby the tension can be varied from the dashboard to suit road and speed conditions. Rock steady riding is obtained at all times; yet there is no harshness and so even rough roads can be taken quickly with comfort.

Car will be sold WOF'd and Registered if sold in New Zealand.
