Description
The MG Magnette by the automobile manufacturer MG.
There were two distinct series of these Magnettes manufactured in the 50's and 60's. The ZA and the ZB.
The ZA was replaced by the Magnette ZB in 1956. Power was increased reaching a top speed of 86 mph (138 km/h) and reduced the 0-60 mph time to 18.5 seconds. The interior was also improved.
The MG Magnette was designed by Gerald Palmer who also designed the Jowett Javelin. Now rare to find in this condition, the Mg Magnette is best described as a very attractive package – a good looking sports saloon with excellent wood dash and leather interior.
The Magnette is an easy to drive car; a vice less handling car that could cut out a long cross country journey in surprisingly quick time as well as being easy to manage in city traffic. It will cruise at a steady 60 mph at any time, has a good speed range in third, pulls like anything up a hill and handles corners in a predictable fashion.

Straight Body, Good Paint and Drives EXCEPTIONALLY WELL.
Albeit not concours, this car is in very fine order. An excellent example, which will make a great club car, a reliable and very presentable every day classic and at the same time – be expected to place well in car shows.

Waimak Classic Cars accepts that the vehicle being sold must be of “acceptable quality” in terms of section 7 of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (the Act) having regard to “the nature of the goods”.
Waimak Classic Cars is not aware of any specific defects with the vehicle, however (a) such a vehicle being a classic vehicle may have mechanical breakdowns, electrical failures at inconvenient times and maintenance costs being part of and parcel of ownership of a classic car; (b) reliability is a combination of the particular nature of the classic vehicle, how it is being driven, how it has been maintained, and to a certain extent luck.
The Purchaser acknowledges that the vehicle is being sold as a classic car; that in terms of the Act and the nature of the goods, the vehicle, is an old car that may have faults, unlike a modern motor vehicle.
The Purchaser is encouraged to personally fully inspect the vehicle and/or to have the vehicle inspected, fully assessed and maintained by an experienced classic car mechanic.
The Purchaser acknowledges that they have read and fully understand this notification and the nature of a car which is many years old.
