Since that memorable day when the Jaguar XK120 startled the motoring world by achieving 132.6 MPH, the highest speed ever attained by a standard production car, its career has been one of continuous success, culminating in 12 months of glory. In places as far apart as Europe, South America, the USA and Australia, enthusiasts owners have registered successes in every conceivable type of competitive event.

  • Albeit no photographic or other records are available, we understand from Club sources and contacts in NZ’s Jaguar scene, which we are highly active and involved in, that this car had a body off restoration back in the mid to late 90’s by Auto Restorations in Christchurch (www.autorestorations .co.nz).

  • Comes with an Aluminium racing radiator and a Stainless steel exhaust system, a Moto Lita Wooden Steering Wheel, a wire wheel conversion adapter kit, spline hubs, knockoffs and 5 new spoke wire wheels – green enamel finish
  • The gearbox is a full synchro 4 speed with O/drive.
  • This car sounds awesome and is so nice and easy to drive – can almost be recommended as a daily driver if one wants to.
  • Condition wise – we know all or most Jaguars in NZ and can confirm this car to be one of the nicest looking examples in this country.

Waimak Classic Cars is not aware of any specific defects with the vehicle, however (a) such a vehicle being a classic vehicle may have mechanical breakdowns, electrical failures at inconvenient times and maintenance costs being part of and parcel of ownership of a classic car; (b) reliability is a combination of the particular nature of the classic vehicle, how it is being driven, how it has been maintained, and to a certain extent luck.

The Purchaser acknowledges that the vehicle is being sold as a classic car; that in terms of the Act and the nature of the goods, the vehicle, is an old car that may have faults, unlike a modern motor vehicle.

The Purchaser is encouraged to personally fully inspect the vehicle and/or to have the vehicle inspected, fully assessed and maintained by an experienced classic car mechanic.

The Purchaser acknowledges that they have read and fully understand this notification and the nature of a car which is many years old.
