Jaguar E Type Series 2 2+2 1969
Specifications
Description
The Jaguar E-Type is a British automobile, manufactured by Jaguar between 1961 and 1974. Its combination of good looks, high performance, and competitive pricing established the marque as an icon of 1960s motoring.
The E-Type was initially designed and shown to the public as a rear-wheel drive grand tourer in two-seater coupé form and as convertible. The 2+2 version with a lengthened wheelbase was released several years later. On its release Enzo Ferrari called it "The most beautiful car ever made".
The model was made in three distinct versions which are generally referred to as "Series 1", "Series 2" and "Series 3".
The Series 2 had open headlights without glass covers, a wrap-around rear bumper, re-positioned and larger front indicators and tail lights below the bumpers, better cooling aided by an enlarged "mouth" and twin electric fans, and uprated brakes – these were all hallmarks of the Series 2.
The interior and dashboard were also redesigned. The dashboard switches lost their symmetrical layout. New seats were fitted, which purists claim lacked the style of the originals but were certainly more comfortable.
This car is in STUNNING CONDITION having been very well cared for all its life.
Body is STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW and there is NO RUST whatsoever. Paintwork is VERY GOOD. All the rubbers, trims, external trim are LIKE NEW.
This car is hard to fault. Engine reconditioned in 1990 at 54707 miles. To date, car has only traveled 12975 miles.
The mechanics are PERFECT, it doesn't use oil, water or drip any fluids. Good battery. Good tires. It comes with the original car jack and owner's manual, log books and various receipts dating back to 1990. Lots of history and original papers available.
This is an IMMACULATE Example. It also sounds fabulous and goes incredibly well.
