Description
A beautiful combination of a hand built and balanced 351 V8 (with Carburettor) by Ford, slotted into a fine Italian designed coachwork body.
Awesome performance in an exotic styled and rare super car. High quality leather throughout, air condition, power steering and sitting on a set of Compomotive alloy wheels with brand new 235/60/15 tyres, new shocks and rubbers.
The Longchamp is a front engined motor car designed to accommodate a 351 in³ (5766 cc) Ford Cleveland V8, which produced 330 hp (246kw) and gave 240 kn/h (149 mph) of top speed. This is the same engine as that used in the Pantera.
The suspension is independent front and rear with coil spring and wishbone suspension; steering is power assisted rack and pinion and comes with vented disk brakes all around, rear ones being inboard brakes.
A total of 409 Longchamps were built (395 coupes and 14 spiders) until 1989, with only a couple per year built during the last years.
Car is still in Australia and we can organise shipping and insurance to transport car from Australia to New Zealand, Rego and Compliance, brand new WOF and transportation to anywhere in New Zealand.
Car looks and drives stunning and sounds great. There is no rust whatsoever.
This car is in stunning condition having been very well cared for all its life. Its hard to come by another example like it. It has done 44100 kms from new and one can tell that it has been well maintained regardless of cost.
The paintwork is very good with NO fading. Barely a scratch or stone chip on the body. Body is straight as. All the rubbers, trims, external trim are in very good condition. Car looks just great and ready to be enjoyed.
The interior is stunning. The mechanics are perfect, it doesn't use oil or water and motor runs like a clock.
This car can only be described as a great, honest example and would appeal to someone who wants a good, trouble free car that can be enjoyed daily.

Waimak Classic Cars is not aware of any specific defects with the vehicle, however (a) such a vehicle being a classic vehicle may have mechanical breakdowns, electrical failures at inconvenient times and maintenance costs being part of and parcel of ownership of a classic car; (b) reliability is a combination of the particular nature of the classic vehicle, how it is being driven, how it has been maintained, and to a certain extent luck.
The Purchaser acknowledges that the vehicle is being sold as a classic car; that in terms of the Act and the nature of the goods, the vehicle, is an old car that may have faults, unlike a modern motor vehicle.
The Purchaser is encouraged to personally fully inspect the vehicle and/or to have the vehicle inspected, fully assessed and maintained by an experienced classic car mechanic.
The Purchaser acknowledges that they have read and fully understand this notification and the nature of a car which is many years old.
