CAR DESCRIPTION
The Daimler Conquest is a series of automobiles produced by The Daimler Company Limited in the United Kingdom from 1953 to 1958. Based on the Lanchester Fourteen, the Conquest replaced the Daimler Consort.
Any model from the old established Daimler Company constitutes an event of considerable note.
Although it is somewhat traditional in appearance, the Daimler Conquest has well balanced lines and a smart exterior style. It is a car that commanded widespread attention for the way in which traditions established in the earliest days had been blended with ideas and requirements at the time of production. Designed as a four / five-seater saloon, the body is virtually a four light design, with the very good feature of the addition of rear ventilating panels.
One should here remember that cars produced by the Daimler company have a long standing reputation for quality and detail finish of a very high order; they also have an air of dignity and tradition that fits them for the task of providing Royal transport.
ABOUT THIS CAR
- This car is a very nice example of this model and in overall GOOD condition.
VERY GOOD VALUE for money and drives very nice. - It has a VERY GOOD, straight body with GOOD paint.
- INTERIOR EXCELLENT – brand new carpet, recently upholstered leather seats and good wood. All instruments work save valve radio.
- Door rubbers new. Back / Front windscreen rubbers new.
- GOOD motor with good compression on all cylinders.
- Servicing Records available.
The Daimler Conquest Century, released in 1954 was the best seller of the range with only 4818 of them produced. A hundred horsepower and, presumably downhill, a hundred miles an hour, hence the Century. A nice entry in the classic car world. A very pleasant car to drive indeed.

Waimak Classic Cars accepts that the vehicle being sold must be of “acceptable quality” in terms of section 7 of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (the Act) having regard to “the nature of the goods”.
Waimak Classic Cars is not aware of any specific defects with the vehicle, however (a) such a vehicle being a classic vehicle may have mechanical breakdowns, electrical failures at inconvenient times and maintenance costs being part of and parcel of ownership of a classic car; (b) reliability is a combination of the particular nature of the classic vehicle, how it is being driven, how it has been maintained, and to a certain extent luck.
The Purchaser acknowledges that the vehicle is being sold as a classic car; that in terms of the Act and the nature of the goods, the vehicle, is an old car that may have faults, unlike a modern motor vehicle.
The Purchaser is encouraged to personally fully inspect the vehicle and/or to have the vehicle inspected, fully assessed and maintained by an experienced classic car mechanic.
The Purchaser acknowledges that they have read and fully understand this notification and the nature of a car which is many years old.
