"It was a great pleasure to have recently completed a buy / sell transaction with Jesmond Micalef. The transaction involved vehicle transportation from Canterbury to Auckland and then Auckland to Canterbury. This was completed seamlessly in a very efficient manner as was the financial aspect of the deal , Attention to detail was great and communication during and post the purchase has been excellent . I would have no hesitation in recommending Jesmond to anybody seeking to acquire a quality classic motor vehicle ."Rob Andrew, Auckland, New Zealand
The 2.5 V8/V8-250 is an automobile which was produced by The Daimler Motor Company Limited in the United Kingdom from 1962 to 1967. It was the last Daimler car to feature a Daimler engine after the company was acquired by Jaguar Cars in 1960. The engine is the hemispherical head V8 designed by Edward Turner and first used in the Daimler SP250 (Dart) sports car.
Essentially a re badged Jaguar Mark 2 fitted with Daimler's particularly smooth 2.5-litre V8 engine and drive-train, a special Daimler fluted (furrowed brow) grille and rear number plate surround, distinctive wheel trims, badges, and interior details (such as a split-bench front seat and a black enamel steering wheel) and special interior and exterior colours with its soft V8 burble.
A casual observer, though not its driver, might mistake it for a jaguar Mark 2. Most cars (like this one) were fitted with power-assisted steering but it was optional. Automatic transmission was standard, manual with or without overdrive became an option in 1967.
This car has full service history from 06/82. In this time the car had two owners. It is a pity that the first three owners on record did not keep earlier records as if they did, this car would have had full service history from new.
In recent years, the motor and transmission were fully reconditioned, transmission, power steering was installed (recently overhauled). Car was originally Dove Grey and was repainted in a Silver Grey. Upholstery was restored. S/S wire wheels were added so the car today is in excellent condition and why it drives exceptionally well.
Car will be sold with a six month WOF and twelve month registration.
