"Hi Gloria & Jesmond, I would just like to say a big thank you for the recent purchase of our classic car. Granted this vehicle was probably one of the lower priced vehicles in your extensive and stunning range of vehicles, you treated us just as well as I imagine as you treat anyone in your dealings. The way you conduct business and treat your clients & vehicles makes it a very memorable and wonderful experience. The passion you have for classic and “pure” vehicles is amazing - alongside your knowledge! We can see why you have long-standing clients and hope to continue to purchase from you ourselves in the future. Thank you both and thanks for finding us such a lovely car that makes us smile, it is a pleasure to drive"Neil & Maria Clarkson, Christchurch, New Zealand
The BMW 6 Series 635 CSI Alpina, also known as the Sharknose, is nowadays, one of the best looking classic cars you can own and they're even better to drive.
One needs to remember here, that the 635CSi is not just a cool looking BMW from a bygone era but a portal to another era of the automobile. This is a car that a true car enthusiast will fall head over heels in love with; a car that will forever remain engraved in history, not only for its looks but also for what it brought to the table at the time.
The 635 was the first BMW to incorporate a sort of early prototype of the onboard computer as we know it. These cars had all sorts of sensors installed everywhere that were checked when the engine was turned on. Apart from that, on the center console, right next to the cassette player, they designed a panel that showed all the relevant info you need from your car. Things like the average speed, fuel consumption and outside temperature could be read on this readout.
Other innovative functions included electric seats with 8-way adjustments and the electric windows for the rear seats that could be adjusted by each passenger separately. Imagine all this back in 1986.

In the right hands, the E24-series 635, known as the Sharknose, represents a high-water mark for BMW, an understated, sophisticated mile-eater.
This is a phenomenal car in terms of handling and road ability, that has been preserved in original condition – one could say almost in show condition.
Its a classic collectible with sleek looks, specifically the nose, which just gives a sense of road control. Its a car that gives an overall look of security coupled with performance.
Still an affordable classic today but won't be for long. Now's the time to buy into these cars, especially one in this condition, which is VERY rare in New Zealand.
