Audi Quattro UR 1985

Specifications

Description

The Audi Quattro is a road and rally car. It was first shown at the 1980 Geneve Motor Show in March.

The word quattro is derived from the Italian word for "four". The name has also been used by Audi to refer to the quattro four-wheel drive system, or any four-wheel drive version of an Audi model. The Audi Quattro was the first rally car to take advantage of the then-recently changed rules which allowed the use of four-wheel drive in competition racing.

This car can best be described ‘as new'. It is an almost CONCOURSE example throughout and with such GENUINE low mileage, it would have to be one of the best examples in existence. I can almost guarantee that you will NOT find a better one.

This car is still in my original home country in Europe. I was 15 years old when this car arrived in my home town and have known it since new. I also know its original owner, who happened to be a neighbor of mine. This car was hardly ever driven – only polished and started up every now and again. It was, however, always maintained in perfect running order, VRT'd (EU version of a WOF) and registered.

The Chassis number is 85ZFA90047 and Engine number is WRDO5904.

The price here advertised assumes that the car is sold WOF'd and Registered here in New Zealand. It includes shipping, GST, MAF, Insurance, Custom's Clearance, Port Charges, Compliance, WOF and 12 month Rego. All this would be MY responsibility as the SELLER. The buyer would just drive away.

NOTE: FINAL PRICE WOULD HAVE TO BE REVISED AT TIME OF IMPORT AND THIS PRICE DOES NOT APPLY IF CAR IS SOLD OUTSIDE OF NEW ZEALAND.

As the car is safely stored with family in Europe, I am reluctant to bring it all the way to New Zealand without a buyer. This because I may end up selling it in Europe, Australia or another country and if I do, I will end up having to ship the car again, which would only increase the price of the car for no reason.

This is today a collector's piece, which can only appreciate in value. I seriously recommend it to the discerning buyer. You will not be disappointed.
