Description

A Grandiose name For A Car Of Grandiose Proportions!

The Continental Mark V is a luxury coupe, that was marketed by the Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company from the 1977 to 1979 model years in North America.

It was derived from its Continental Mark IV predecessor, bringing an extensive update to the interior and exterior design.

At 230 inches long, the Mark V is the largest two-door coupe ever sold by Ford Motor Company. Distinguished by its sharp-edged exterior design, design themes of the Mark V would be adapted onto Lincoln vehicles throughout the 1980s.

ABOUT THIS CAR

  • Style is primarily a matter of instinct and this behemoth is Brash, Bold and Beautiful.
  • This 1978 super-luxurious Diamond Jubilee Edition Mark V was an expensive car new. It was introduced to help commemorate Ford Motor Company's 75th anniversary.
  • Low Mileage - only 35K miles from new.
  • Two Owners in New Zealand, it was first registered here in 2014.
  • Laser straight Body with beautiful paintwork
  • The interior is such a nice place to be - comfortable, quiet and warm.
  • Magical to drive on the open road.
  • Cartier designer Series Lincoln in Beautiful Condition
  • STUNNING is the best way to describe this car.

In its time, these cars would have been a designer's delight.

Throughout the 1970s, luxury car buyers demanded a similar leveling-up of opulence and exclusivity. Beginning in 1976, Lincoln enlisted the services of Cartier, Bill Blass, Emilio Pucci, and Hubert de Givenchy.

While Lincoln already had the interiors and exteriors figured out, it let the designers select the color schemes they felt best represented their style, and with that, the Mark IV Designer Series was born.

Will be sold WOF'd and registered if sold in New Zealand.
