1974 Triumph TR6

Specifications

Description

Although sharing a name with the motorcycle manufacturer, British firm Triumph Motors used to make some highly desirable sports cars, with the TR6 being one of the company’s most famous creations.

There is a feeling of almost awesome solidity with this car, as though the car was carved out of a single block of steel. That solid feeling comes from the taut, low built chassis, with rugged four wheel independent suspension. Its a car for precise driving designed by engineers that really understand sports cars.

This car has long-legged, go forever performance from its high-torque six cylinder engine and I think this can be agreed by TR6 drivers anywhere or by people who have simply driven in one.

ABOUT THIS CAR

  • Built in Coventry in 1973 and exported to USA. Imported to Australia in 2010 had extensive work done by Healey factory, where it was converted to RHD.
  • Major recent overhaul work carried out by Upper Classics in Christchurch New Zealand within the last 4 years. This included a full engine strip and rebuild, all wiring 100% replaced, brake system overhauled.
  • Four (like new) Chrome Wire Wheels (spare painted)
  • Straight body looks to be pretty clean from any rust
  • Beautiful shining paintwork.
  • Runs and drives superb.
  • Manual (NO) Overdrive
  • Twin Carburetor.
  • Very tidy example.
  • Car Jack, Manuals, Spare keys.

The TR6 is not just a great car, but a sound investment, as they are still relatively cheap and haven’t found their value in the market yet.

There’s also a thriving community online for parts and advice, so if you’re considering something to both enjoy and tinker with, the TR6 may be the perfect car for you.

Will be sold WOF'd and Registered.
