Description

The 2007 Aston Martin DB9 V12 represents the very essence of British grand touring, combining timeless elegance, exceptional craftsmanship and effortless performance in one of the most beautiful designs to emerge from Aston Martin in the modern era.

Styled under the direction of legendary designer Ian Callum, with Henrik Fisker completing the design, the DB9 introduced a new generation of Aston Martin sophistication. Its long, sculpted bonnet, flowing roofline and beautifully balanced proportions give it an unmistakable presence, while its understated styling has aged remarkably well. Nearly two decades after its introduction, the DB9 remains a motor car that commands admiration wherever it goes.

Beneath that elegant exterior lies a magnificent 5.9-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine, producing approximately 450 horsepower and delivering the smooth, effortless performance for which Aston Martin has become renowned. Capable of accelerating from 0–100 km/h in approximately five seconds and reaching a top speed approaching 300 km/h, the DB9 offers genuine supercar performance without compromising the refinement expected of a luxury grand tourer. Built around Aston Martin’s advanced bonded-aluminium VH architecture, it combines impressive structural rigidity with balanced handling, making it equally enjoyable on winding country roads or extended open-road journeys. Perhaps its greatest attraction, however, is the unmistakable soundtrack of that glorious V12 engine.

Inside, the DB9 is a celebration of traditional British luxury, with beautifully stitched leather, carefully selected materials and a driver-focused cockpit that reflects Aston Martin’s commitment to craftsmanship. Unlike many contemporary high-performance motor cars, the DB9 was never designed simply to chase outright performance figures. Instead, it was created to deliver an occasion every time the driver settles behind the wheel. Today, these earlier V12-powered Aston Martins are increasingly appreciated by enthusiasts who value their naturally aspirated engines, distinctive character and elegant design. The 2007 DB9 stands as a compelling example of the modern British grand tourer, offering an appealing combination of exclusivity, performance and timeless Aston Martin heritage.

  • Outstanding value in today’s prestige car market, offering the opportunity to experience genuine V12 Aston Martin ownership at a fraction of the vehicle’s original purchase price. With growing interest in naturally aspirated, twelve-cylinder grand tourers, well-preserved examples such as this may also appeal to enthusiasts considering future modern-classic collectibility.
  • A motor car that appeals to all the senses. Admire its magnificent styling, settle into the beautifully trimmed cabin, enjoy the superb audio system or simply listen to the glorious V12 engine. Select Drive, allow the automatic transmission to do its work and experience the effortless performance for which Aston Martin has become renowned.
  • Above all, this DB9 is about the pleasure of driving. It looks magnificent, sounds glorious and delivers the sort of performance and involvement that makes every outing memorable. A truly special motor car, combining beauty, luxury, power and pedigree in a package that remains immensely desirable.
  • A magnificent British grand tourer that offers far more than simply getting from one destination to another. It is about enjoying every moment of the journey.
Market Review

From a market perspective, the Aston Martin DB9 V12 represents exceptional value for money in today’s prestige and collector car market.

Having experienced the substantial depreciation typically associated with high-end luxury motor cars, these earlier examples can now be acquired for a fraction of their original purchase price, placing genuine V12 Aston Martin ownership within reach of a much broader enthusiast market. Importantly, the DB9 is increasingly being recognised as more than simply a used prestige car. Its desirability is supported by Aston Martin’s distinguished heritage, relatively limited production compared with mainstream luxury vehicles, and the growing appeal of traditional, naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder engines. As the automotive industry continues its transition towards electrification and increasingly complex technology, cars such as the DB9 are likely to attract greater attention from collectors seeking an authentic, analogue-influenced grand touring experience. Well-maintained, original examples with documented service histories are particularly desirable, and the DB9 appears well positioned to make the transition from depreciating luxury motor car to recognised modern classic.

Looking ahead, we believe the 2007 Aston Martin DB9 V12 has credible long-term appreciation potential, although significant increases in value are more likely to develop gradually rather than through sudden market speculation. The strongest examples may begin to experience greater price stability as depreciation slows, with the possibility of measured appreciation over the next five to ten years as surviving vehicles age into established modern-classic territory.

By the early 2030s, the DB9 will be approaching thirty years of age, a period when collector interest often begins to strengthen for distinctive performance and luxury cars of its generation. However, future values will remain sensitive to maintenance costs, mileage, condition, provenance and overall market sentiment, with neglected examples likely to remain considerably less desirable. While it would be premature to predict specific percentage increases, the combination of relatively accessible current values, prestigious Aston Martin heritage and the diminishing availability of naturally aspirated V12 grand tourers provides a persuasive argument for its future collectibility. For the enthusiast seeking both driving enjoyment and potential long-term capital appreciation, the DB9 arguably represents one of the more interesting value propositions in the modern Aston Martin market today.
