In 2021, Waimak Classic Cars had the privilege of assisting with the export of a cherished 1974 MGB from New Zealand back to its original home in England.
When Sue Waller needed to export her late father’s cherished 1974 MGB back to England, she was recommended to contact Waimak Classic Cars for a valuation. During the conversation, it became clear there was a strong connection between her father, Peter Cornelius, and the local classic car community. Waimak Classic Cars assisted with the export process, arranging the shipping and documentation required to safely send both the vehicle and a collection of family photographs and documents back to the United Kingdom. Projects like this remind us that classic cars are often much more than vehicles. They represent memories, friendships and stories that deserve to be preserved. We were honoured to play a small part in helping return this special MGB to its family home in the United Kingdom.
