Waimak Classic Cars was proud to be part of the 2026 Ayrburn Classic, one of New Zealand’s premier motoring events, held against the spectacular backdrop of Ayrburn, Arrowtown. The three-day festival brought together an extraordinary collection of classic, collector, luxury, and performance vehicles, alongside world-class hospitality, entertainment, and automotive culture.
Representing Canterbury at one of the country’s most prestigious automotive gatherings, Waimak Classic Cars showcased a selection of significant collector vehicles and had the opportunity to connect with enthusiasts, collectors, industry professionals, and fellow custodians of motoring heritage from throughout New Zealand and abroad.
The quality of vehicles on display was exceptional, ranging from pre-war classics and iconic British sports cars through to rare European exotics and modern collector cars. The event demonstrated the strength of New Zealand’s collector car community and highlighted the growing international profile of the Ayrburn Classic as a destination motoring festival.
A particular highlight was seeing thousands of enthusiasts enjoying the remarkable machinery on display throughout the Ayrburn grounds. The combination of stunning vehicles, Central Otago scenery, outstanding food and wine, and a festival atmosphere created an experience unlike any other on the New Zealand motoring calendar.
The 2026 event also featured the inaugural Ayrburn Classic Auction, further cementing the festival’s status as a major fixture on the collector car landscape and attracting significant interest from buyers, sellers, and enthusiasts alike.
