We were amazed by the number of car clubs there are in Christchurch. The BMW Car Club was the first club through the museum and was impressed with the selection. The Mustang Club was the largest group through, with approximately 85 visitors and some outstanding vehicles parked on our grounds for visitors to peruse.
We also had various retirement villages bring their Men’s Groups through for a leisurely walk down memory lane. We welcomed visitors from the Jaguar, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Rover, Triumph and Corvette clubs, and the list goes on.
We’ve also had a mystery bus trip. We knew they were coming, but the passengers had absolutely no idea where they were headed. Groups came from as far away as Auckland, including The Sloths motorbike group on their way to Invercargill, as well as the Mid Canterbury Friendship Group.
It was wonderful to share the collection with so many different groups throughout the year.
