Yes, you read that right. This mint 1998 Toyota Supra A80 is currently being sold at Carsforsale.com for a stratospheric $500,000US. Well, $499,999 to be exact. The previous record for an A80 Supra at auction was $176,000, and this example just smashes that.

This has to be put down to the sheer level of Supra obsession exhibited by the car world since the launch of the A90 Toyota GR Supra earlier this year. This low millage JZA80 Supra is pretty much factory fresh and by low mileage, we mean 37,257 miles.

So what makes this Supra so unique and worthy of that astronomical price tag? Well, according to the books, this example is claimed to be one of only 24 Quicksilver Special Edition Supras manufactured in 1998. With a six speed manual box, and the mighty 2JZ straight six engine, the Quicksilver has all the Supra credentials, plus it’s a matching numbers example and its Quicksilver paint scheme has been verified as one of the original 24.

Would you pay this much for a A80 Supra?
